Mabalacat City, Pampanga — Christmas is even made brighter by the home province of the country’s Christmas capital as four regions from the north unite to establish the first-ever North Luzon Travel Fair in a bid to boost tourism recovery and cultural diversity.
The three-day event set on November 18-20 at the SMX Convention Center, Angeles City, Pampanga is set to attract more than 2,000 visitors daily with an estimated 100 exhibitors highlighting the best of what the north has to offer through a showcase of domestic tourism destinations, products, services, delicacies, gift and pasalubong items, and cultural presentations from the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Ilocos Region (Region I), Cagayan Valley (Region II), and Central Luzon (Region III).
The North Luzon Travel Fair aims to play a major role in shaping the future of tourism by creating a one-stop shop venue for tourism collaboration starting with this year’s theme: Weaving Our Way to Recovery. Special events include presentations on tourism trends, business-to-business (B2B) networking, artisan demonstrations, interactive games, and raffle draws, to be culminated by the Hibla ng Lahi Fashion Show organized by the regions’ local designers.
Participating industries range from sunlight eco-tourism resorts, airlines, health and wellness facilities, hotel and leisure facilities, theme parks and amusement centers, travel and tour operators and providers, tourism boards, and much more.
The pilot project is the brainchild of the Department of Tourism CAR, Region I, Region II, and Region III and co-organized with the Alliance of Travel and Tour Agencies of Pampanga (ATTAP), in collaboration with Subic-Clark Alliance for Development (SCAD) and sponsored by Tourism Promotions Board Philippines (TPB), Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), Clark Development Corporation (CDC), Digital out-of-home Philippines (DOOH) and Philippine Airlines. The event is managed by Total Exhibit and Expo Solutions Inc.
